Godslave: In hell
30/10/13 || Ironpants
Yep! Another thrash release. This time we have a bunch of Germans that sounds like they were frozen in a cryo-chamber somewhere in the beginning when thrash metal was starting to rise. We are talking about the early era that evolved from the Bay Area combined with a large dose of German riffage. Even the sound picture and mixing is from those early years. The vocals is from the shelf marked “Harsh Thrash – German accent”, and does not really deliver all the way.
The problem with this kind of thrash, is that I can’t really crush their balls and say it is bad. ‘Cause I used to like this kind of metal… when I was 15 years old. But to convince me to play this over and over again and get a tiny erection from it is far fetched. There must be a way to get a bit more innovative and thinking fresh, even if you are stuck in a time loop and long for those old days when tight blue jeans and white sneakers was the tits. This doesn’t invoke any excitement what so ever.
4/10: You should have released this in 1988.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
